About

ABOUT

Alessandra is an Italian choreographer based in Berlin.

After graduating from the Hamburg Ballet School and an extensive career as a dancer with companies such as Gauthier Dance//Theaterhaus Stuttgart and Staatstheater Hannover under the direction of Marco Goecke, Alessandra has developed a distinctive choreographic voice that intertwines physical intensity, emotional sensitivity, and narrative depth.

In her choreographic work, Alessandra explores the human condition in its most authentic and vulnerable form — the pulse of the body, its fears, desires, and the connections that bind us. Her creative approach is rooted in storytelling emerging from movement, aiming for tangibility, vividness, and a sense of truth, where each gesture becomes a fragment of narrative.

Her creations have been presented in numerous festivals and residencies, including the Jerusalem International Solo Dance Festival, Residenzzentrum Tanz+, and LOT Theater Braunschweig. Her dance film A Quiet Thriller has received international recognition, winning Best Director in the Short Dance Film category at the Vesuvius International Film Festival 2023.

She has also created works for institutions such as Staatstheater Hannover, Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater, Teatro Bellini Napoli, Landesbühnen Sachsen, and Volkstheater Rostock. In 2026, she has premiered her full-length creation Macbeth for the company of Landesbühnen Sachsen.

Alongside her artistic work, Alessandra is an active teacher across Europe, sharing her practice through ballet, improvisation, and Marco Goecke’s repertoire at professional institutions and companies throughout the continent.
